Arabic Du‘ā:
اللَّهُمَّ اجْعَلْ قَلْبِي نَقِيًّا تَقِيًّا لَا كَفُورًا وَلَا شَقِيًّا
Transliteration:
Allāhumma ajʿal qalbī naqiyyan taqiyyan lā kafūran wa lā shaqiyyan.
Translation:
“O Allah, make my heart pure and God-fearing — not ungrateful, and not miserable.”
Source:
Based on the Qur’anic qualities of the righteous (26:89), and widely used in classical du‘ās by scholars such as Ḥasan al-Baṣrī in his du‘ā of purification.
Reflection:
This supplication is a mirror for the heart. It teaches us that true happiness and protection from sorrow begins with inward purity — not only faith, but gratitude and trust.
